PFATS ANNOUNCES NEW INTERACTIVE EXHIBIT AT THE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME

 
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN – JULY 29, 2015. The Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society (PFATS) is pleased to announce the opening of the new PFATS Exhibit at the Pro Football Hall of Fame (HOF)in Canton, Ohio. With approximately 225,000 people passing through this popular landmark every year, (PFATS) will be able to showcase the importance of the profession through a new, modern, interactive exhibit that aims to inform, entertain and educate visitors about athletic training in the NFL.

 

“At PFATS, we are so excited to have a new and very modern exhibit at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This exhibit not only pays tribute to the great men and women who take care of the NFL players but allows the visitors to the Hall of Fame to see what a career in athletic training looks like.”

 

Highlights of the new exhibit includes a virtual athletic training room which will allow viewers to experience behind-the-scenes activities and learn about various modalities and equipment used by NFL athletic trainers to assist NFL players with injury rehabilitation and performance training. The exhibit also features a touch screen display with a variety of NFL athletic training topics including education about the role of athletic trainers, health and safety in the NFL, NFL player comeback stories, and information on how to become an athletic trainer.Communication Exhibits Inc., (CEI), a local company with over 35 years of experience was chosen to build the exhibit. The new exhibit is up and running and will be available for the estimated 25,000 visitors touring the museum for the Hall of Fame IEnshrinement Weekend, August 7-9, 2015.

 

“I’m very pleased with the outcome of the new exhibit. I think it does a great job of portraying the profession of athletic training, and educating the public on the importance of our role in sports,” stated, Sonia Gysland, Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Pittsburgh Steelersand Chair of the PFATS Hall of Fame Exhibit Committee.
