PFATS is a professional organization whose members are certified athletic trainers in the National Football League. We work with the NFL to provide, lead and manage health care for athletes, club employees and members of the NFL community.
The NFL Physicians provide trusted medical and surgical care of the athletes in the National Football League. It offers support to athletic trainers in charge of the care for these athletes.
The National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) is the professional membership association for certified athletic trainers and others who support the athletic training profession. To become certified athletic trainers, students must pass a comprehensive test administered by the NATA Board of Certification.
Since its inception, PFATS has had a supportive and like-minded relationship with Gatorade in that the organizations share a strong interest in taking care of the health and welfare of athletes. Over this long-standing relationship, Gatorade has helped in development of PFATS programs and in providing PFATS with opportunities to grow.
The Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) is a research and educational facility dedicated to expanding knowledge on sports nutrition. GSSI staff scientists study the effects of the environment, exercise and nutrition on the human body.
